Both apps are great. Active 911 now has a GPS feature that if someone clicks responding you can see where they are on your phone. And if they go on the engine with there phone you can see when they get to the scene. The maps are very accurate. Probably the best apps

Can you explain this a little further? I'll do my own research as well...
    Ladder 49
Jack Morrison: There's something I wanted to talk to you about, Cap. I was thinking of transferring to the truck.
Captain Kennedy: Oh, geez. What the hell do you want to do that for?

I had CAD page when I had the droid phone, now I have the EYEphone (which btw I am not impressed with to say the least) - I signed up as the admin for the active 911 app about a 3 weeks ago, still not working. Many emails to them still its just a dead app in my phone.

Active 911 has to be set up through the dispatcher. In the county where I volunteer communications sends it out to us. So it can't take like redalert for example and change it to a active 911 page.

I like to stick with just carrying my pager and waiting for it to go and respond to the firehouse.

It works great for me. It's setup through the depts CAD. Sometimes I get the alarms on Active 911 before I get the text message. It gives you a map with the location and directions from your current location.
    It's just my 2 cents

Active 911 and CADPage are apps for iOS and Android respectively. They send push notifications to your device about calls that go out from any department that you are a member of or employed with. It can hook into any dispatch console or CAD console that can send SMTP (email) or SNPP (pager) messages. You can also piggyback off FireTracker's messages by adding the Active911 email address to your list of devices.

If you are having problems with the message format, maps not working, or other general problems, I recommend using their StandardA formatting.
