    Default FDNY Apparatus and City Bus Involved in Collision (BK) 12/16/08

    PROGNOSIS: Response
    Transportation-Commuter Bus
    Brooklyn Hegeman Avenue Mother Gaston Boulevard


    As per FDNY, a NYCTA bus and a piece of FDNY apparatus have been involved in a collision.

    FDNY-EMS states there are currently 25 patients (19 stable patients from the bus and 4 stable and 2 seriously injured firefighters from the FDNY apparatus).

    FDNY, NYPD, and FDNY-EMS are on scene.

    OEM and MTA NYCTA are en route.

    RESPONDING UNITS: OEM 610, OEM 615

    L103 on the way to what turned out to be a 10-75 in the mva vrs city bus 2 members were pinned request 2 rescues and 2 squads then canceled all members out of the rig. Ems reports 4 green tag members (10-45 code 4) 2 yellow tag members (10-45 code 3)

    yeah they're in the same house on sheffield ave., EMS was saying 25 patients 19 on the bus and the remainder on the rig, along with two in serious condition from 103, get well soon brotherss..

    L103 was responding to a car fire at Gaston Blvd(Stone Ave) off of Newport St. In their normally 2nd due response area. The 10-75 on Bradford St which would have been their 1st due box came in after the accident. Wish everyone a speedy recovery

    As per OEM 615:

    FDNY EMS reports the total patient count is 27. 20 passengers on the B15 bus and 1 pedestrian that sustained minor injuries were all transported in stable condition to area hospitals. Additionally, four firefighters in stable condition and two in serious condition have been transported to an area hospital. The two firefighters in serious condition have now been upgraded to stable condition.

    NYPD has temporarily closed Hegeman Ave and New Lots Ave between Christopher St at Watkins St while the investigation is conducted.

    MTA & FDNY are in the process of conducting their investigation. The B15 route has been rerouted.

    I had heard that they were going to a car fire because 120 got redirected, but either way sounds like the brothers are ok.

    im not sure about ems but if you mean fd transmitted 2 10-45's thats wrong. 10-45 is any injury thats FIRE related to a civilian not an mos.
