I just found out about you guys and all I can say is thank god! that day was nothing but a headache and an embarrassment to the city. Its good to see you guys starting that up and trying to get the right thing done. The real kicker is, the people who did such a great job running the show and showing how classy the city can be, are the same people that the men risk their lives for. Go figure...

Be very careful with what you say here. YOUR just as good and equally no better than the next guy who is taking the test. Regardless of where he might live or have been brought up. If YOUR lucky enough to get onto my job, you might be VERY surprised to see just how amazing some people can be; both as FIREMEN and as GENTLEMEN -- regardless of their race, color, background or where they may have grown up ... or what benefit(s) or assistance that you assume some people may be given in regards to the test.

My comments were geared to the instructors or moderators who did a half ass job of keeping order and explaining the instructions. It was a ignorance and class thing, not a race or religion thing. There wasn't one race to blame or one person. People of all different upbringings can be classy and respectful. The people who tend to be more difficult to deal with are the rich people with nothing better to do than complain.

For any of you who may or may not have had some ill opinions towards any particular groups of people in regard to the test ... The Vulcan Society of the FDNY has now joined in the fight against the recent FDNY exam. There were a lot of hints about this and that and who should or who should not be entitled to special treatment in regard to the exam. Well for anyone who commented on here or for anyone who had perhaps had some thoughts about it ... now it looks like EVERYONE feels the test was poorly prepared.
Good luck to everyone. But for everyone's sake, please keep an open mind when it comes to dealing with situations like this.
