    Default State Bid Vehicles

Now this might be a car dealer or commisioner-based question...

Vehicles on state bid (i.e. PD RMP's, Chief Cars & Trucks, etc)... They all seem to come from a handful of dealerships in Upstate NY. Do LI Dealerships not bid on the contract? If so, why not? If they're a warranty issue they're the ones who have to deal with it

Most Fords come from Warnock in NJ. you need to do a lot of volume to make it worthwhile, and I dont think the LI places sell enough.

keep in mind, a local dealer can chose to sell you a vehicle at State Bid Price.

The State Police purchase their vehciles directly from Ford and Chevy. Most PD's use state bid and get their cars through Warnock, a dealership in NJ.
